If kids did come by anyway. Ive only been trick or treating once ever. And carved fruit and vegetable twice. The second time round we placed the pumpkins around the garden for this newspaper feature that was being done bout halloween and stuff. And then we killed and mutilated an atlas moth chrysalis unintentionally and I guess we never did anything for Halloween again after that.

Going back to school tomorrow. Have been on holiday for 2 weeks now and its been good. There were days where I slept more hours than I spend awake because I didnt have much to do. Watched a couple of movies (7 actually) because I always download them and never have time to watch them in school. Lesbian Vampire Killers (saw the trailer for this in the cinema some time ago) was the worst. Pretty pointless movie with no plot and the vampires were killed so effortlessly and spewed white goo when they were stabbed or when they had their heads cut off.

GIH international evening coming up on the 13th. We're doing Ancient egypt/persia this year.
Xanga screws up in school so I dont update all that much. Good luck to those sitting for exams in malaysia. Im going home in March =D

=\

Have been so incredibly busy the past couple of weeks to update. Well we're back at school, feels like we've never left for summer really. Went to thorpe park (day before EE due. bleh) which was fun, met the new L6, did lots of coursework, celebreated claudia's birthday yesterday.

Was nice to get out for a while. Well thats really the name of the resort, its the island is Pulau Gemia. Couldnt get rooms at Perhentian, but this islands a pretty decent alternative. Not that far from the mainland, but the waters clean, and the rooms are good. Rather quiet place, only 30ish rooms. Not designed for families with children because other than the beach and chalets, there's nothing to do. Most of the people there were couples, ideal for that sort of thing.

They have a sea turtle sanctuary. They collect turtle eggs from the beach and put them in hatcheries in the resort and this pool is where theyre kept before being released. Lots of fish though, though mostly in schools of the same kind. Preferred Sabah. Was quite strange because it was just my parents and I this time and usually when my dad naps and my mum hangs about the chalet I'd have Gavin and Garey for company. This time I was on my own sometimes but it was a good holiday. Ive missed my friends, and school, and Anthony but Ive also gotten used to having my clothes washed for me, and eating whatever I like from the fridge, and watching TV when I wanted, and unrestricted internet. Also Ive gotten used to not doing school stuff and I know the first week back is going to be a disaster. Especially if I dont make good use of the next two weeks doing a couple of things I have to do.

Ive been having a pretty good time recently. Hanging out with my mum more, now that she's not working. Had some alone time with Wanru, nothing that exciting I hurt her white (now gray/black) polar bear and I put her mehmeh in my pants but it was good times. Had some car adventures and went to a childrens party. Also hung out with Ian. Went back to KDU, had dessert, drove around aimlessly, and other shit. (note pun, ian) Saw fen and tjen briefly but am meeting up next friday.

Im going to some island tomorrow for the weekend. I have to be up at 5, I have no idea what Im still doing online now. Its not that late. And I havent packed.

see you soon

(:

Tony&Tony

I recently had people come to visit. Tony and Tony (well I dont call the latter Tony but some people do). Tony Christiansen is someone my dad came to know, from New Zealand. He lost both his legs in a train accident when he was 9 but since then he's done loads of stuff. Climbed mountains, flew planes, won loads of stuff in the paralympics, raced cars and scuba dived. Now he goes round the worlds giving motivational talks and my dad brought him to KL to give a few. Attended one of his talks on a saturday morning, and he came over that night for dinner.

Dont have another full length picture. Here's Tony with my brother sitting in his wheelchair.

Anthony also visited for bout 11 days. Was actually really good, we went to different places in KL, took him down to Singapore for 3 days, went up to my dad's orchard in Pahang, stayed home some days, did loads of swimming and sunbathing by the pool. Watched lots of movies, since cinema tickets are much cheaper here. Went to the fish spa in the Pavilion which was quite funny because Anthony has ticklish feet and initially it killed him. He reacted in a li tjen like manner. Hahaha...
<3 <3

My dad brought home loads of durians from his orchard. I dont eat much of it, but I dont think its as terrible as foreigners make it out to be. My dad says its like eating bananas in the toilet. Mmm the stench of shit and pee... Hahaha its not very accurate, but it didn't help seeing how anthony doesnt eat bananas.

Neither enjoyed it very much. I really like Hong Kong, and if I had some command of cantonese which I dont, unfortunately, I wouldnt mind living/working there. It was pretty clean, loads of buildings, was next to the sea, had good food, shopping was good. Loads of highrise buildings, including high rise flats. On the first night we were invited to this restaurant called Yung Kee which is apparently really famous. The owner set the group of us up on the 6th floor where we could eat stuff not normally shown on the menu. Appetizer included goose testicles (I dont have a picture) but Im guessing these were mashed up and mixed with flour because they came in nugget sized pieces. But they had the texture of starchy tofu, soft and chewy, and they were yellow. So I didnt really eat it. I had a small bite... mmm goose semineferous tubules! Other than that we had other interesting dishes, was okay.

Met tiff and darryl the next afternoon, they took me around, explored the busy streets of central and went to the pier, went into random shops darryl knew of and later on went to this HK fast food type restaurant for dinner. Met Emmy and Grace as well =)

Eating HK food

Later on it started raining, typhoon apparently but it was okay. Got wet in the rain but nothing new. England has made me quite indifferent to rain and damp weather. When Grace, Emmy and Darryl left Tiff and I went round lankwaifong which was where I was staying. Went to this russian ice bar called Balalaika for a drink. Sort of like that ice bar they have in the curve. Big furry coats too haha.

Went back to my hotel room for a bit, then went to cosway bay and wan chai to have a lookaround. Ate loads along the way, street food and mcdonalds. Haha walked by the stripper clubs in wan chai, funny how loads of the pimps were old chinese ladies. With a group of young phillipino looking girls surrounding them.

More HK food. He grows some in his orchard, and they're really different from regular bananas. They're reddish and about three times the diameter. Impossible to take a bite out of so you kind of have to eat it from the sides. The bananas are alright. I prefer the ordinary kind though.

I placed a regular sized egg there for size comparison

not even close to being able to wrap my fingers round them

Yesterday Ian came over, unannounced and because we were both pretty bored we decided to make dinner, drove around in his car to get ingredients because it was his idea to make ravioli from scratch. And pesto sauce, though my mom had two bottles in the fridge. That kept us occupied for bout 3 hours. It was a decent attempt.

This morning Gavin and I caught loads of tadpoles from my pond because the number of frogs/toads were increasing.

They squired around quite a bit on the floor, and we lined them up, and after a while some died and dried out. We fed the rest to the big fish in the other pond. The flight back was not very eventful, except we later found out that the passenger occupying seat 55C was carrying the H1N1 virus. I sat next to two people who did not try to strike up conversation so I didnt bother either. One of them was this Malay man guzzling down as much beer as he could before reaching KL. He kept looking at me, I suspect because he knew that I was aware of his haram deeds.

Havent done anything that exciting back in KL. Have been to Taylors in Subang to meet the subang college goers. Have been driven to Petaling street (ive never been!) for some sunday afternoon KL exposure. Watched the wimbledon finals. Followed my mum shopping. Followed my dad to the airport to send Gavin off. Met people for dinner. And lunch. Mandarin. Shhh. Recieved a shirt which says "I love to play with myself" on the back. Got an allergic reaction in the middle of the night. Saw my grandmothers. Watched Obsessed today, it was a decent film.

Things looking up next week! On friday Im following my parents to HK, just for the weekend. Back on very early Monday morning. Anthony coming on Tuesday night. Good times. =)

omg summer

The school term ended today and Im really looking forward to going home tomorrow. Am currently bearing the status of L6 GIH person having spent the longest time away from home. Havent been home since christmas and I really need a break. The past couple of weeks leading up to the end of terms have been pretty eventful. Series of coursework which led to painful evenings and staying up all night to meet the morning deadline. It was a very bad night and it left me wondering why I chose to do the IB. We also had our extended essay days where I spent doing things such as

blending leaves; and also staring into the microscope for hours.
We also had the last events of the boarders olympics together with boarders barbeque last sunday.

At least it wasnt raining, and there was human table football.

This week we also had our promo reunion dinner, finally after having postponed it about 5 times. It was great, with everyone there and we dined locally at spice club because it was indian. Andie and I even ordered something called Jaipuri because Andie said thats where we were in India. (Actually we were in Jodhpur, we were only a night in Jaipur on the way back. But there was no Jodhpuri dish.)

Yesterday to end the year nicely we had our own breakup supper barbeque on GIH lawn. Good times. Picture courtesy of Tasha. We dont have many pictures as a house. Well I guess this marks the end of the first year of sixth form. Its been a great year (most of the time)

Costi came back to join us. Shes recovering nicely from her accident which is good (:

Also Michael Jackson died yesterday which is quite unfortunate. However what matters now is Im going home tomorrow so Ill see most of you in the next few weeks. Cant wait =)
