GIH ball

I thought the work situation would improve after the exams but turns out the IB likes coursework and this requires us to do experiment related things and keep report/portfolio pieces. I'd much rather a hundred percent of my grade came from the actual exam paper in the end without having to worry about coursework. Especially maths :(
Well the first saturday back after halfterm was GIH's 7 Deadly Sins. It was quite a low budget event, we spent about 3 days making the decorations ourselves and spent our money on the marquee, DJ, and dance floor.

Like other events the party planner people would come in the morning to set everything up, and this time they threw in a podium with a pole, which was put to good use. The turnout was pretty good, about 145 people from our year showed up.

Filled up marquee. And the unsightful back of andrew dawsons head. Most people spent their night in the marquee but some of us retreated indoors for peace and quiet (:

The pole was pretty popular, there was a bit of hype over this picture with regards to Danny's interactions with the pole. Observe closely.

Gluttony and his fatsuit.

I think the most interesting outfit was Andie's wrath intepretation. She had about 15 pink balloons attached to her torso all around.
andie
She's meant to be "Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. Never heard of the book but it was kind of funny. Someone should have gone as a white round thing and be The Pearl by john steinbeck. Haha... vanity/pride, get it?

Well I'll be home two weeks today (:
