Happy Halloween

200624092019-482

Im not doing anything for Halloween but my aunt and uncle, whom Im staying with already bought their supply of candy to hand out tonight. If kids did come by anyway. Ive only been trick or treating once ever. And carved fruit and vegetable twice. The second time round we placed the pumpkins around the garden for this newspaper feature that was being done bout halloween and stuff. And then we killed and mutilated an atlas moth chrysalis unintentionally and I guess we never did anything for Halloween again after that.

Going back to school tomorrow. Have been on holiday for 2 weeks now and its been good. There were days where I slept more hours than I spend awake because I didnt have much to do. Watched a couple of movies (7 actually) because I always download them and never have time to watch them in school. Lesbian Vampire Killers (saw the trailer for this in the cinema some time ago) was the worst. Pretty pointless movie with no plot and the vampires were killed so effortlessly and spewed white goo when they were stabbed or when they had their heads cut off.

GIH international evening coming up on the 13th. We're doing Ancient egypt/persia this year.
Xanga screws up in school so I dont update all that much. Good luck to those sitting for exams in malaysia. Im going home in March =D

=\

Have been so incredibly busy the past couple of weeks to update. Well we're back at school, feels like we've never left for summer really. Went to thorpe park (day before EE due. bleh) which was fun, met the new L6, did lots of coursework, celebreated claudia's birthday yesterday.

look, Snake eggs

My dad brought home a clump of snake eggs today. Found them somewhere when he went to his orchard. I never new they had hard shells, way harder than chicken eggs. And that they clumped together weirdly. The eggs didnt contain snakes anymore. They've hatched, though the shells dont fall apart when they do.

Sun soaking

Spent the weekend at Gem Island. Well thats really the name of the resort, its the island is Pulau Gemia. Couldnt get rooms at Perhentian, but this islands a pretty decent alternative. Not that far from the mainland, but the waters clean, and the rooms are good. Rather quiet place, only 30ish rooms. Not designed for families with children because other than the beach and chalets, there's nothing to do. Most of the people there were couples, ideal for that sort of thing.

They have a sea turtle sanctuary. They collect turtle eggs from the beach and put them in hatcheries in the resort and this pool is where theyre kept before being released. Lets them grow a little, because baby turtles die easily and they have a pathetic survival rate (1 or 2 in every 1000)

Snorkelling was alright, we could do it pretty close to shore but the corals were more or less uniform (the brown and green kinds). Lots of fish though, though mostly in schools of the same kind. Preferred Sabah. Was quite strange because it was just my parents and I this time and usually when my dad naps and my mum hangs about the chalet I'd have Gavin and Garey for company. This time I was on my own sometimes but it was a good holiday. (:

We flew into Terengganu where we took a boat from the jetty to the island. Theyre local rice dish, part of their nasi padang stuff includes this rice and wad of fish delight. Haha, not for non fish eaters.

Havent been doing much since I got back. Lunch with wanru today, got honked at trying to sort out the pimple on her back on the way home from Bangsar. Exciting (:
